Taiwan Scholarship

The Taiwan Scholarship Program was established to encourage outstanding international students to undertake degree programs in Taiwan. There are three government agencies that fund this program, each with a different focus in terms of recipients' nationalities and study programs. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarship, the Ministry of Education and the National Science Council Scholarship (postgraduate programs only). *For the application, the applicant must send all completed documents to the nearest Taiwan Embassy or Representative Office in his/her home country. In principle, the yearly application period is from February 1st through March 31st. However, the actual application period will be in accordance with the general regulations of the local Taiwan Representative Offices. For the application period, guidelines and forms, types of scholarship and quotas, as well as information regarding the selection process and outcome announcement, applicants should directly contact the relevant Taiwan Embassy or Representative Office, as early as possible. From February 1st till end of March every year, applicants can apply at the Taiwan Overseas Mission (TOM) in your country or the nearest country if there is no TOM in your country. For the information of the TOMs, please refer to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs



NKFUST scholarship

All new students will be noticed whether or not they can be awarded an NKFUST scholarship and the admission. The continuing students need to submit the application before July 31 for the first semester; within one week after second semester open.


3.Required documents:

.For the New students:please refer to the guidelines for international students applying for admission to NKFUST
.For the continuing students:

A.Graduate students

  1. Application form.

  2. Transcript of the previous semester: There shall be at least 6 credits and the average grade shall be above 70 points. The conduct transcript shall be above 80 points and have no punishment record.

Those who have no transcript because of writing a master's thesis or a doctoral dissertation may submit their thesis advisor's recommendation letter and a writing plan before the deadline. The writing plan shall include at least the research rationale and goal, research structure and design, the source of document collection, the outline of the thesis or the dissertation, and the references. This kind of application is allowed only for once in the MS/PhD program.
